bathroom : Look ar laminated pelmet

Hi girls,

talking about bathroom, I want to do up a nice and relaxing bathroom, but cost is a big issue. These are some of the pix of bathrooms that I like.

Bathroom Design

Have you guys been to "Rice Fields"? They are a concept Bathroom Stone / Tile company. I went to their showroom and was amazed by the many sample bathrooms that they have did up. Here is the contact.

The place is quite hard to find as it a Warehouse of sorts, but the designer bathrooms inside looked really good. Do check them out.

Bathroom Top Vanity Design Idea

I suggest use semi recess vanity top, where the marble vanity top is like a 12inch shelf and the sink appears to protrude beyond the front edge. Sim Siang Choon / How Kee got such a model. Major space saving, while still got vanity top feel.

This means.. bottom cabinet is the depth of a shoe cabinet. Try to keep the cabinet about 1 feet off the floor.

Then.. for the top cabinet start 34cm above the vanity top, another shoe cabinet design of depth 12cm (harpic bottle width), the swing doors to be made of frameless mirror stuck to wooden door. Mirror protrude 4cm above and below the cabinet to hide fluorecent tubes below and above cabinet.

Vanity Top marble.. Depends of peference, either Black Galaxy.. or if want to look clean under all circumstances, choose a off white colour (Crema Marfil ) marble with lots of round patterns. Water stains, soap stains all will blend in with marble design.

And there u have it.. hotel /Hollywood look.
